Backflip course in Rio de Mouro with Parkour WAY for young people aged 12 to 16 who want to learn to do a back flip safely, progressively and with the right technical foundation. Led by a parkour instructor with over 10 years of teaching experience and even longer as an athlete, this six-session course takes place in a gym with professional safety equipment, giving every participant the environment and the repetition needed to build this movement with genuine confidence, control and technique. Sessions run on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7pm to 8pm.
The course is built entirely around progressive learning. Through training stations, movement progressions and direct hands-on manipulation from the instructor, each participant works at their own pace with the right level of support at every stage. The back flip is explored across multiple contexts: on the trampoline, from an obstacle and on the ground. Depending on each student’s level there may also be space to explore variations including the kick back flip, wall flip and bar dismount. These sessions are integrated into a group parkour class, so participants also develop the foundational skills of the discipline alongside the specific back flip progressions.
It is not guaranteed that every participant will perform a fully autonomous back flip by the end of the course, as that always depends on physical condition, coordination, effort, consistency and confidence. What is guaranteed is that every student leaves with a stronger body, a deeper understanding of the technique and a much more solid base to keep progressing from.

No. These classes are designed both for those who want to learn the backflip from scratch and for those who already have some experience and want to gain more technique, confidence and control. Or simply to impress friends.
Yes. That's precisely the goal. We'll start with the basics and progress gradually, with exercises adapted to each student's level.
Yes. Safety is a priority. Classes take place in the gym, with access to safety equipment and specific progressions to learn the movement step by step, with constant supervision from the instructor.
The workshop is designed for 6 classes. However, each person progresses at their own pace. Some students manage the movement earlier, while others need more time to gain strength, technique or confidence, and there will be no problem doing one or two extra classes.
It's not possible to guarantee that for everyone, because it depends on various factors, such as physical condition, coordination, commitment, consistency and confidence. What is guaranteed is that you will train seriously, safely and with guidance, and leave with much more foundation to achieve it.
We'll work through progressions, training stations and direct help from the coach. The idea is to build the movement in parts, repeat a lot and gain confidence at each stage.
Yes, depending on the level and progress of each student. There may be space to explore variations like side flip, wall flip or bar backflip.
Comfortable sportswear and trainers with good, clean grip, Water bottle. We'll handle the rest in training 😎
The main focus will be the backflip, but as these sessions are part of a parkour group class, there will also be contact with important foundations of the discipline.
Normal. Almost everyone starts with some fear. That's exactly why the work is progressive. The goal isn't to throw anyone into the air by force—it's to build real confidence, step by step.
