You'll explore slab building, pinch pottery, coil building and the creation of solid forms that are hollowed out. You'll also learn about different clay types and the firing process.
Yes. You'll practise using slips and textures on raw clay and bisque, and receive an introduction to glazing techniques for finishing your creations.
Each participant will design and shape at least four functional pieces.
You'll leave with practical knowledge of hand-building and ceramic decoration, a deeper understanding of the pottery process, and at least four handmade functional pieces to keep once they have been glazed and fired.
