- 8 hours of theoretical and practical training.
- Workshop schedule: 9:00 AM–6:30 PM, including a lunch break.
- Introduction to aromatic and medicinal plants and regenerative cultivation.
- Practical experience in preparing plant material and carrying out artisanal distillation.

This project began in 2016 and is the environmental hub of CENEA, the Explosive Circuit Association, driven by the desire to provoke significant changes in how we live and view planet Earth.
We are a research center dedicated to regeneration, offering comprehensive training in areas such as permaculture, agroecology, regenerative agriculture, natural building, water landscapes, personal development, and much more.
Located in the municipality of Sintra, near the border with Mafra, in a place called Barreiros, the project encountered a sad and abandoned site marked by the passage of time. However, the peace and beauty found in this place inspired us.

Our Mission:
We aim to create ecologically stable and abundant landscapes, using agroecological techniques and principles to promote the health of the planet and meet human needs (water, food, shelter, and energy). We offer specialized training in agroecology, permaculture, and sustainability. Our goal is not only to disseminate our beliefs but also to build an exemplary space that demonstrates techniques for a more sustainable life.

You'll learn functional garden design principles, plant selection and interaction strategies, soil preparation techniques, and regenerative practices for water and soil care. The workshop covers Mediterranean aromatic and medicinal plants with focus on culinary, medicinal, and distillation uses.
Yes! The workshop emphasizes safety care and best practices throughout the distillation process. Expert facilitators guide participants through steam distillation and hydrodistillation techniques, ensuring proper understanding of water, fire, and plant interactions with hands-on supervision.
Each participant receives one bottle of hydrolat and one artisan balm made with distilled essential oil, plus a digital document with training content. You'll also gain practical knowledge for continuing distillation and garden design at home.
Bring comfortable clothing and footwear, a water bottle, a hat or umbrella depending on the weather, and paper and a pen for taking notes. Pruning shears are optional. All materials required for the practical activities are provided.
No previous experience is specified as a requirement. The workshop introduces the fundamental principles of distillation and offers practical, hands-on activities suitable for people interested in learning from the beginning.
