There is a particular kind of focus that happens when a group sits down to paint together. Our azulejo team building workshop in Lisbon takes that focus and gives it a shared purpose: every participant paints their own tiles, but each piece is designed to connect with the others, forming a single collective panel by the end of the session. The result only works if the group communicates, aligns, and pays attention to each other. Which is, of course, the whole point.
We open with a short introduction to the history of Portuguese azulejo tiles, giving the group a cultural anchor for what they are about to make. From there we move into the briefing, where participants learn how the collective panel works, how the visual areas are divided, and what aesthetic decisions need to be agreed on as a group before anyone picks up a brush. Then comes the technical demonstration, followed by the collaborative painting session itself, where each person executes their individual pieces with guidance from our specialist instructor throughout.

🎨 A collaborative painting session where individual pieces form a collective panel

What your team leaves with
Every participant takes home their own finished tiles. The collective panel exists as a record of what the group built together, something that can live in the office as a reminder that they made something that only worked because everyone showed up.
Here at Hands On, we have been designing private workshop experiences across Portugal for groups of all sizes and backgrounds, from corporate teams to school groups. We manage every detail so you do not have to, and we can bring this experience directly to your space anywhere in the Lisbon region. If your team has a specific schedule or setup in mind, we will work around it.
Not sure if your team will enjoy it? In our experience, the people who walk in most skeptical are usually the ones who get most absorbed once the painting starts.
