None at all — this workshop is designed for complete beginners. No prior cooking experience, and nothing to bring. Everything you need is provided and I will guide you through each step. Just wear clothes you're comfortable getting flour on.
Sourdough bread is made from a live culture that is highly probiotic and give the notorious acidic flavour profile to the bread.
You will learn how to make sourdough bread from start to finish, use simple folding and timing techniques, understand your dough, maintain your sourdough starter with minimal effort, and identify which shortcuts work and which can ruin the bread.
The workshop takes place at Sara Di Rocco’s home in Lisbon, where her cat Covinha also lives. If you have a cat allergy or a strong aversion to cats, let Sara know so you can arrange an alternative solution.
You will leave with your own sourdough starter, bread to take home, and a simple method for making sourdough that you can repeat at home with minimal effort.

Sara was thoroughly informative. It was hands on and everything we expected to be. We are so happy as we left with the starter and the bread. Hoping to return soon to her fermentation class.
Thank you Michelle!! I’m so glad to hear you loved it :))
