Most team building activities leave nothing behind. This wine blending team building leaves your group with a wine they blended themselves, a label they designed and the memory of having stood in front of the Esporão jury and defended their choices. Starting from a selection of varietal wines chosen by one of the Alentejo’s most respected producers, your teams compete to create the best possible blend, build a technical sheet and design a label before presenting to the rest of the group. The Esporão jury will be paying close attention.
The activity opens with a visit to the cellars, where your group learns about Esporão’s production methods and the logic behind how wine is made before anyone starts blending. From there, three varietal wines selected by Esporão are tasted together, giving every team the same starting point and the same challenge: to use what they have just learned and tasted to create something genuinely good. Teams are divided at the start with a leader appointed in each, and the competition runs through the blending, the technical sheet, the label design and the final presentations, with prizes awarded at the end based on performance. Cheese and cured meat boards with regional Alentejo delicacies are provided throughout.
