Most people have poured olive oil a thousand times without ever thinking about how it got into the bottle. This team building experience at Esporão changes that, taking your group from the olive groves and mill through a full technical tasting to the creation of your own olive oil blend, a designed label and a personalised bottle to take home. Hands-on, genuinely educational and rooted in one of the Alentejo’s most extraordinary agricultural traditions.

The activity opens with a guided visit to the Esporão olive groves and mill, where your group learns the full production process from harvest to pressing, understanding the decisions and craft that go into every batch of oil. From there the session moves into a technical tasting, exploring the aromas, flavours and characteristics that distinguish different olive varieties and production methods. Each participant then creates their own blend, experimenting with combinations until they find something that genuinely reflects their own palate. The session closes with label design and the preparation of your personalised bottle, paired with artisan bread for tasting everything you have just created.

    More about your Teacher Esporão

    Esporão

Set in the heart of Portugal’s Alentejo region, Esporão represents a deep respect for the land, tradition, and innovation—values that resonate strongly with me.

My experience here is rooted in creating meaningful connections between people and the products of the land. Through immersive wine tastings and olive oil experiences, I aim to guide visitors on a sensory journey—one that highlights not only the flavors and aromas, but also the stories, craftsmanship, and sustainability behind each bottle and harvest.

Working closely with both wine and olive production allows me to share a holistic perspective of Alentejo’s rich agricultural heritage. Whether introducing guests to the nuances of terroir in a glass of wine or the complexity of a freshly pressed olive oil, my goal is always to create authentic, memorable experiences.

At Esporão, every detail matters—from the vineyard to the table—and I take pride in being part of a team that values quality, sustainability, and genuine hospitality. This role allows me to combine knowledge, storytelling, and passion to deliver experiences that stay with people long after they leave.
