Power Pilates is more intense than traditional Mat Pilates, but you don't necessarily need previous experience. The exercises can be adapted to your fitness level. If you're completely new to Pilates, let the instructor know before the class.
Power Pilates keeps the focus on control, posture, alignment and core engagement found in traditional Pilates, but adds greater intensity through more dynamic movements, functional exercises and additional equipment.
Classes may incorporate ankle weights, resistance bands, small balls and light dumbbells, alongside bodyweight exercises. The equipment adds resistance and helps increase muscle activation and toning.
Yes. The class combines Pilates principles with functional and GAP-inspired exercises to provide a challenging full-body workout, with particular emphasis on the core, legs and glutes.
Power Pilates is designed to be more dynamic and energetic than traditional Mat Pilates, so you can expect your heart rate to rise and to work up a sweat. The focus remains on controlled, conscious movement rather than cardio alone.
