No. Hatha Yoga is suitable for beginners as well as more experienced practitioners. The practice can be adapted to your level, physical abilities and goals.
The class combines traditional yoga postures (asanas) with breathing techniques (pranayama), generally using slower and more sustained movements. You’ll work on strength, flexibility, balance, concentration and body awareness.
It can be either. The intensity is adapted to each participant, so the practice can be gentle and restorative or more physically challenging depending on your ability and experience.
Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. A yoga mat is recommended, along with water and an extra layer for the relaxation portion of the class. Please bring your own towel.
Yes. You don't need to be flexible to practise Hatha Yoga. Postures can be modified to suit your current range of movement, and flexibility can gradually improve through regular practice. If you have an injury or medical condition, speak with the instructor before class so exercises can be adapted appropriately.
