Yes. The course is specifically designed for beginners and provides all the essential techniques needed to start making sushi and sashimi with confidence.
You will learn the fundamentals of Japanese cuisine, including how to prepare sushi rice, basic sushi-making techniques, and the preparation of different styles of sushi and sashimi.
The classes are led by Chef Rui Fonte, former chef and owner of the Japanese izakaya Tasca Kome, who brings his experience and passion for traditional Japanese gastronomy to every session.
The Sushi & Sashimi Workshop takes place over two classes of three hours each, for a total of 6 hours of practical training. This format gives participants the opportunity to gradually develop their skills and gain confidence in preparing sushi and sashimi.
