Bone broth workshop in Lisbon where you learn to make one of the oldest and most nourishing staples of Italian home cooking from scratch, guided by Sara Di Rocco in her home kitchen. Known as brodo in Italian and canja in Portuguese, bone broth has been a cornerstone of Italian cuisine for generations, the kind of thing every nonna makes without thinking twice because once you know how, it really is that simple. This workshop exists to give you exactly that confidence.
Sara walks you through the full process of making your own bone broth, covering how to adapt it to your own taste and preferences and exploring it in a few different ways during the session so you leave with a real understanding of its versatility. Along the way you will learn about the health benefits of bone broth, why it has endured as a staple across so many food traditions, and how to make it a regular part of your own kitchen without any fuss. A recipe card follows after the session so you have everything you need to keep making it at home.

I am Sara Di Rocco and alongside my sourdough, kimchi and tea blending workshops, this is one of my favourite things to share with people in my home kitchen in Lisbon. Bone broth is the kind of recipe that sounds more complicated than it is, and watching people realise how simple it actually is always makes the session worthwhile. The workshop takes place at my house under the supervision of my cat Covinha. If you have a cat allergy or would prefer a different arrangement, just let me know and we will find a solution.
Sessions run with a minimum of 2 participants. No prior cooking experience needed.
